Last week, retreat was awesome. Sunday was like nothing I’ve experienced before! Second service was unforgettable!
Men, how are you doing? How’s the creed being applied to your life? How have you upheld the Brotherhood?
I walk with walk through the fire. I will follow orders. I will be accountable. I will carry my cross.
This creed is not easily lived out. You will not be perfect. It is the effort that God is concerned with. Make sure you keep the brothers in the loop. Let us help you carry the weight. Your decisions have an impact on us all. Therefore, let us all strive to press toward the mark.
Women, how has this last week been for you? How has your husband been effected by retreat? Are you praying for him? Are you encouraging him? Are you acting as a partnership, as a team, so others can see God working in and through you? Is God with you in your marriage? Is God the priority in your marriage?
As your Pastor, men and women, I am pulling for you. I am pulling with you.
You next steps are to be connected. We have so many opportunities: Lifegroups, Sunday setup/breakdown, MasterLife, Men's outings, Women’s socials, Squad reunions, possible Men's Bible Study.
Let us be unified, as both a Brotherhood of men and a church family as a whole – men and women together. Let us avoid a critical spirit.
Men, if we all lead our families, then we can confidently know that greatness is our future.
I love you all.

As I walked around Pink during set up on Saturday afternoon, I couldn’t help but be inspired by the men and women who gave up their beautiful, picture-perfect day to transform the school into GM for our 3 Easter services on Sunday. And I remembered the 30 or so men, women and children who distributed 10,000 flyers last week inviting people to share in our Easter services. Then to think that in total, we estimate 100 people serving throughout the weekend; from set up on Saturday, to greeting/hospitality, to GMKids and KidZone, to the band and those behind the scenes, and finishing with break down on Sunday.
What a joy to see our people ‘getting it’. What a privilege to expand the Kingdom with those that I call my friends and even my family. And what a blessing to do life together with you.
Thank you for your prayers for me, my family, and our church. We experienced greatness yesterday with almost 500 people attending Easter services, and nearly 20 first time guests! My prayer is that those first time guests saw God in the welcome from the greeting team, in the way their kids were taken care of, in our GM culture and in their overall worship. And my prayer for you is that you saw God in His faithfulness to bless what we put our hands and feet to, in His name. He gave us a vision to reach our local community for Him and we were obedient. That attendance is record-setting, and we give God all of the glory because HE IS WORTHY!
Let’s continue the pace, and take our faith and our church to the next level. |

This Sunday, we’ll hit the ground running with 3 services for Easter – 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am. I’m reminded of this time last year, when our church family embarked on the journey of 2 services on Sunday morning. WOW! It’s been one year already. Look at how we’ve grown!
And remember how we did it? We sacrificed. We served in 1 service and worshiped in the other. I asked each of you to sacrifice for 6 months. And you did so willingly.
Because of your sacrifice, many new people experienced GM for the first time – with many of them accepting Christ as their Savior. Because of your sacrifice and service others were able to see God in what you did, and that made the difference in their life.
This Sunday, we have the opportunity to sacrifice and make a difference for the Kingdom. If you haven’t already, contact the people below and ask how you can serve. We still need help with greeting and set up/break down. You can make it happen.
Lastly, have you invited anyone to come to church with you? You know, I heard an interesting statistic recently: “82 percent of those who are invited to church by a friend accept the invitation.” (Study by Thom Rainer, President of LifeWay Christian Resources)
Think about it. Who has God been placing on your heart to invite to GM this Sunday? Family members? Friends? Neighbors? Coworkers? Sometimes, people are just waiting for an invitation...that invitation could come from you.
Thanks to the nearly 30 people who distributed 10,000 Easter invitation cards over the last 2 weeks! I know this will make a difference in our local communities – we’re getting the word out that GM is a different kind of church. A church that loves God and loves people.
Let’s continue to be a church that isn’t ashamed to share the Gospel and invite others to GM. Let’s continue to see God in what we do as we sacrificially give of our time, energy and money to grow His Kingdom. Let’s pack Pink this Sunday! |

Carrie and I feel so blessed to count you among our friends. We know that we couldn’t live this life without you. It’s our fellowship with you that glorifies God. God is seen and experienced when we all come together and do life together. Whether good or bad, we hold on to each other. We don’t let go and isolate ourselves.
Grasp the formula for freedom for yourself. Apply it to your daily life. When we pray, worship and praise together, something happens. Call up your friends and have them walk through this formula with you. When in the midst of the dungeon, a trial, pray, worship, and praise God together. When in the midst of victory, pray, worship and praise God together.
This freedom allows you to break free from the chains. And let’s not forget – this freedom that you experience may not be for yourself. It may be for others. He didn’t set you free for you to consume that freedom. He did it for you to lay it down as a sacrifice to be shared with others. In this way, we expand the kingdom through fellowship.
Let’s invest in the type of fellowship that expands the Kingdom. I love hearing stories from people describing their first visit to GM. When they see and experience our culture of connection, authenticity and fellowship the kingdom expands. They see it and they want it.
As we look to Palm Sunday this weekend, think about how God has called you to fellowship. What opportunities has He provided for you to connect with Him and others? What opportunities has He provided for you to worship Him?
We have a small army of men, women and kids going into the neighborhoods surrounding Pink and into their communities distributing Easter invitation cards. That’s the kind of fellowship that expands the Kingdom! (Get involved by emailing Michelle.)
God has a bigger agenda with our fellowship than we can imagine. Commit to be ready to endure, and to worship and pray with others to see God change the world through our connection. Be unified to endure the hard times. |

| Easter Services |
This year, we will celebrate Easter with three services on Sunday, April 12. Service times are 8am, 9:30am and 11am. We will need your help to spread the word to your neighbors; be sure to bring them, your friends and family with you! |
 |
| Pastor Tim's Thoughts |
So let’s be honest--what have you let go this week for the Kingdom? I know it’s hard, but really, isn’t it harder to hold on to something ordinary when something extraordinary is right around the corner? God’s just waiting for us to surrender to Him and His will. He cannot make you let go; He will not force Himself upon you. You have to choose.
Whenever we meet God and see Jesus Christ for who He is, it is but a small thing to give up that which is valuable for God. The only thing holding you back is your unwillingness to let go.
Our church is filled with people that have let go. Their lives have been broken and poured out, much like the Mary with the alabaster jar. The Kingdom-driven church is filled with people who are willing to let go. It’s not about you and me – it’s about lives changed.
There’s no meaning in the kingdom of this world; there’s nothing in this world that’s worth holding on to. The more that we hold on to this world, the more we will miss what God has for us.
Make the sacrifice. Take the chance. Let go. The risk is worth the reward. And the reward is eternal. When we make His kingdom greater, our life becomes better.
I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of stuff that keeps me going day after day. This Sunday, come with a heart to worship because He is worthy! Come with a desire to be the type of person that ‘gets it’. He must increase and I must decrease (John 3:30). |
