Paul qualifies the affect of love that it brings things into harmony. If there is chaos in your life or you are out of rhythm, is it possible that you are missing this type of love in your life?

Colossians 3:12-13
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

    • Put On – Decision Of The Will
      • Don’t sit down in the cesspool — current is always pulling in the wrong direction… Resistance must be an intentional response
    • We Must Aim At The Right Attributes
      • You can’t fight fire with fire,,, everyone gets burned
      • You must fight fire with forgiveness
      • You must return patience instead of punches
      • You must return compassion when your receiving criticism
      • Bearing with one another is a burden that all healthy relationships must embrace
    • There Is Freedom In Forgiveness
      • It is not forgiveness because they deserve it
      • The forgiveness is predicated on his forgiveness of you
      • Remember,., your hate isn’t hurting them
      • Your bitterness is not affecting their bills
      • Your grudge can begin to cost you gains in your home or at work
      • But when you forgive… you find freedom

Colossians 3:14
14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.

  • The Tie That Binds – LOVE
    • Love won’t let you exact your pound of flesh, though it sounds so appealing
    • Love won’t let you dwell in the past
    • Love won’t let you quit just because the road becomes difficult
    • Love won’t let you turn a blind eye to your friends that are going down destructive roads
    • Love will lead to give more than you should….GRACE
    • Love will lead you to overlook trivial mistakes,, because love covers a multitude of sins

15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Hebrews 10:23-25
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
