A Little Love

A Little Love

Everyone needs a little bit of love.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,

  • We All Need A Little Love
    • “Bind Up The Brokenhearted”
      • Brokenhearted – the inner man, the essence of man, our soul
    • Love Requires You To Let Go
      • It’s one thing to assess the situation
      • It’s another thing to address the situation
        • Addressing someone’s situation is going to cost you every time
      • The Father was willing to let his son go (Isa 53:10, John 3:16)
      • The Son was willing to let go of his God-status (phil 2)
      • By faith we can possess it

Isaiah 61:3a
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

  • There Is A Connection Between God’s Love And The “Instead Of”
    • Let God’s Love Work
      • He Provides/Gives
        • You have to receive before you can give.
      • Concept of the weight of emotion, hopeless, helpless, brokenhearted
      • A Little Love Will Lighten Your Load
      • Healing For The Heaviness In Your Heart
    • Beauty Instead Of Ashes
    • Joy Instead Of Mourning
    • Praise Instead Of Despair
    • Interpersonal Application
      • Love covers a multitude of sins
      • Love bears no record of wrongs
    • When God’s Love Works It Always Leads To Worship

Isaiah 61:4
They shall rebuild the ancient ruins;
they shall raise up the former devastations;
they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.

  • When God’s Love Has Led To Worship…
    • He must have your heart before you can build
    • Then, You Will Rebuild From The Rubble
    • Then, You Will Raise Up The Season It Went Wrong In The Past
    • Then, You Will Repair What Someone Else Ruined
    • You have to go inside out before you go ground level up
