LifeGroups are currently on hiatus! Genesis Metro is engaged a church-wide discipleship campaign for the Fall season. In an effort to allow for all leaders to participate, LifeGroup meetings have been paused for the Fall Semester. Traditional LifeGroups will relaunch in 2021.

The purpose of LifeGroups at Genesis Metro is community that leads to Life Change. In order to grow and progress in our relationship with Jesus and connection to His Church, we need to be in fellowship with people who have the same goals and who want to share both the success and struggle of life with you. At Genesis Metro Church, we call this living life together. Lives are changed through involvement and influence, and that happens face-to-face.

LifeGroups are small groups of adults that meet regularly in someone’s home for fellowship, sermon discussion, and prayer. GM has groups of all ages and stages of life. With over 20 groups, you are sure to find the right one for you.

Whether you’ve been a member of GM for many years or you’re just “checking things out”, we encourage you to experience our community through a LifeGroup!

If you’re interested in joining a LifeGroup, please email lifegroups@genesismetro.

A LifeGroup is a small group of adults who gather together on a regular basis to encourage, challenge, discuss, and create community. Essentially it is a place for you to “do life together”.
Simply put, “we need community.” We are designed to be God’s personal agents to encourage, challenge and care for one another. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”. (John 13:34-35)
GM LifeGroup Season consists of two semesters (Fall & Spring) that generally meet for about 12 weeks each. GM LifeGroups meet nearly everyday of the week, in various homes throughout the Frisco/Little Elm area.
While every group is different, a typical LifeGroup gathers for a time of fellowship over a shared meal, laughter in the form of games or icebreakers, discussion of the week’s sermon, and prayer.
Each LifeGroup handles their childcare needs differently. Some offer childcare in the host home, or at a nearby home in the same neighborhood. Often, trusted Fuse students are providing care at a nominal fee.
LifeGroup Leaders are responsible for providing their groups with vision, direction and support. They do not need to be Bible experts or teachers. Leaders are successful when they are growing in their own relationship with Christ, and are connected to the vision and values of Genesis Metro. Leaders should be connected to the church through service. Leaders are encouraged to have Co-Leaders who offer support and leadership within the group. Each LifeGroup leader is supported by a LifeGroup Captain, who is supported by the LifeGroup Pastor.
